On the topic of re-torquing the head, should you back them off a quarter turn, and then tighten them to the round 3 torque specs, or must you go through the whole three stage torquing process?

Also, to get to that starter motor on "i" models means removing the injection manifold. Is that something that requires disconnecting the parts of the injection system from themselves, or can the components be simply disconnected from the engine bay, and lift off with the manifold (with the exception of the actual injectors?)
