Just installed a pertronix on a 79 320i with vacuum adv. dist. and the car ran poorly could not get it to idle smoothly and adj timing made it worse. Put the points back in and it was fine. Put a set on my 2002 and it was great didn't know if there was anything diff. with the 320i as far as wiring or vacuum adv. dist. versus mech. adv. dist. which is on the 2002. Thank you for any suggestions
