A good location is to screw the mounting brackets underneath the metal shelf. Do to so, you would need to drill new holes. I used self drilling screws - #6 tek screws, 3/8" long. THese can be picked up at home depot or auto stores.

Bought a Pioneer CD changer for my 323i. It works great but I have no clue of where inside the trunk should I put it. Do I need to drill new holes?
Obi.
