Hi

I want to share somthing i've done to my e21 323i,
First i want to say that if you haven't removed your
manual sunroof gearbox before and refitted it forget this.
I took the manual gearbox and thrashed it, and drilled out the mounting plate. then i found a old mazda 323 (name huh :) with power sunroof (rare) took the powered motor/gearbox from it wich fits
right in the sunroof cables(with the mounting plate removed) and strapsed the gearbox to the sunroof cables back together again.
And using the cover from the mazda and sprayed it black, and it works perfectly.. if the motor slips tighten the nut on top of the gearbox. This is also possible with
a e30 power sunroof (check e30.de; do it yourself) i will post some pictures of it soon.
