On my car, the vacuum hose off the cold start injector goes to the air slide valve which is 5 inches away. It's on the valve cover towards the back. The air slide valve then plus in under the throttle body. Hope this helps. My point about plugging the hose is that you can remove alot of this stuff but you need to eliminate all air leaks or the injection goes all screwy.
