With persistence and a few tiny screwdrivers you can separate the switch body by prying gently around the little snap in lugs that hold it together. Be careful to contain spring loaded contacts. Then either bend the little arm with the locking pawl back down or put a little plastic shim behind it to hold it down. I fixed mine by bending that arm, others recommend a shim -- use what works best for you.
