Very annoying metallic noise..sounds like light metal scrapping along a rough surface. A friend mentioned the exhasut! Any suggestion?

Another possibility: pebbles above the heat shield. I had this problem - the noise was more of a rattle than a scrape. Anyway, check for debris.
