If you want to replace it try one of METRIC MECH sport rebuilds the 2liter makes 150 hp and will work with your stock injection but if you really want power bolt in an S14 from an M3 just my $0.02
Hey listers,

Over the past month or so my car has developed some pretty nasty pinging.  I've run supreme gasoline ever since I've owned it (May 1st, 2000), and I run Mobil 1 Synthetic 15w-50.  I've cleaned the contact points on the cap and rotor, etc.  I checked my spark plugs and, this is what sucks, there was oil on all four of them.  I'm not an experienced wrench, but I think that means bad piston rings right?

So it's time for a rebuild I think.  So how much cash are we talking here?  How much for a stock rebuild, or if I wanted to upgrade my cam and such, how much would it be?  I've been told I could just get a lower mileage engine and replace it....but that seems like I'd just be putting the rebuild off...sort of like a band-aid fix.  Though it
would be cheaper I assume.

TIA
~Derrick
