I also noticed a big reduction in engine noise when I went to Synthetic.. Redline 10w30.


I have a 91 318i w/196K miles. Once in a while I have to put a bottle of Slick 50 to reduce the noise. Prety soon I'll have to change the timing chain. You may have to do that too.
