That is the only reason oem pads are dusty. John Q Average can't stand the thought of having some brake squeak! As for the Metalmasters, I wouldn't say very, very little, but certainly less dust than Deluxe. The Deluxe pads are more of a grocery getter car pad. If you drive any moutain roads, or tracks, you will find them fading prety quick! Al

You are right about metal masters. They are great and very very little dust. I bought an E36 last summer for my wife. The previous owner just had the pads replaced by the dealer. In one week of driving the rims are almost black. Why does the dealer put such dusty pads on the cars they service?
