Hi, I'm looking at buying a new battery for my 81' BMW320i. Can someone out there advise me on which is the most appropriate battery brand and model I should invest?

Nikkor, along with replacing your battery, I suggest you also buy new stock battery cables, especially if the ones in your car are original. I replaced mine awhile ago and this helped driveability a lot. Hard to believe, but the new ones made a major improvement. Buy the genuine BMW ones because they have soldered connectors - much superior to clamp-on fittings of aftermarket brands. The real ones are inexpensive, less than $20 each. Also, clean the negative ground, etc (all these irritating little things on a 20-year-old car).
