Thanks, Alan. I figured as much that it may be dead, but I guess I'm in denial. Strange that one would go and not both. Anyway, the denial comes from the fact that it's almost impossible to get the radio out of the dash. I've tried several times, so did the BMW service guy - no luck. Cheers, N
