I've had the same problem and it was just the antenna connection on the backside of the stereo.

Help! I have an '85 325e with stock radio and my FM died. Just the FM, am is fine. Took it to local BMW dealer and he was no help (his exact words 'I dunno know'). Any insight? Is the radio blown or is there a connection lost, wire loose, fuse blown, etc? Going batty with AM 'talk radio'!!! Thanks in advance...Nico.
