The engine block of my 1983 323i (6 cylinders) has hairline cracks at three of the bolt holes for the cylinder head, and has to be replaced. 323i blocks are hard to find in the Philippines, but used 320i blocks are available. Both blocks have 8 cm. bores (from manuals). Are these two blocks interchangeable? Please help!!

Hi,

the 84 320i was an E30 - all E30 320i have the M20
engines installed - should work for your problem.

Horst
