I'm guessing that your doing a 2.7 conversion for a 323i.If so you a choice of 4 different piston.
U.S. eta 9.0CR Mahle #0823400 82-87 528e(USA),325e 85-87, 525e 82-87
Euro eta 11.0CR 525e 1983-85 Mahle #0823300
U.S. Super eta 9.2CR
Euro super-eta 10.2CR 525e 1985-87 Mahle #0825400 ($945 Korman )
The super eta pistons will only work with a super-eta or 325i/525i head. The eta pistons will work with your 323i or an eta head. they have the same 37cc combustion chamber. the eta pistons will also work with 325i/525i head or super-eta head but the compression ratio will be reduced by about 1 point due to the head's larger 42cc chambers. the eta pistons will also use the 130 mm connecting rods as your 323i. Korman is also a good reference for Mahle pistons (see the e30 catalogue page).
