When I first bought the car it did the same thing. I replaced the steering rack bushings with urethane from BMP and it was gone. Replace all the bushings you can if it bothers you.
The carbs will work with a turbo but be prepared to mess around with jetting alot. Also make sure you have some feed back sensors to monitor your EGT (exhaust gas temperature) and a O2 meter at min. You can be running incredibly high EGT without any noticable problem. Until it goes bang.

whenever im at about 40-60mph, but anything above or below that its fine, also when im braking it does it sometimes when theres a lot of weight on the front end.

what kind of mpg would i get if i put dual carbs on? the smaller ones, like 35's?
also, would a turbo work with that setup?
