In Reply to: Vibration!!! may the driveshaft be the cause?? posted by Alex - 320/6 on October 18, 2000 at 15:24:50:

Does it vibrate at a set speed?
What engine load condition does it vibrate (acceleration, deceleration, steady cruise or all)?

Hi, more and more about vibration, but in this case I don't think it's the famous "shimmy". The car seems to vibrate from the rear end, not the front.
Allbmwparts.com claim that e21's driveshafts get 'shot' after 100000kms, I'm not sure that's true, but I was wondering if any had this problem around...
wheels have been balanced several times, differential new, all rear trans. seems to be ok... any clues????
THANKS ALL FOR YOUR HELP!
