Sorry for the double post

I am going to put the rear trailing arms from the 323i on a US '83 320is with the 325i rear calipers. I am wondering about the box that I believe is the rear proportioning valve. It is located below the master cylinder in the engine compartment. Is this unit removed when converting to rear disks? Do the 323i's have a rear proportioning valve? Is the 323i valve different with rear disks? Can anyone help with answers?
