Spark plugs look white after 10k miles (archive)

On my 323i, just replaced existing W9???? Bosch w/ W8RLDS plugs. I didn't ask for W8RLDS plugs, that's what BavAuto matched up for my 323i. I take it that the W8 is a colder heat range plug. Incidentally, plugs pulled out showed to be powdery white on 3/4 of the ceramic tip and light brown on remaining 1/4. Know what this means ?
