14" aluminum needs spacers? (archive)

I tried swapping out my 13" steel wheels for a set of 14" aluminums, but they were too wide in the front and would hit. Do I need spacers/Where can I get them? Is it worth it (I got the 14"ers free from the junkyard) to swap wheels?
