on the intake, after the filter, inside of that bellow, theres an aluminum disk thats in the path of airflow, but is able to move with air pressure, is this required? what would happen if i removed it when i reinstalled the rest of the intake? does it have anything to do with k-jet?

It sounds to me like you're talking about the most important part of the K-jet injection metering system -- the disk is there to measure air flow by how much it's sucked toward the motor and its lever linkage signals that to the injector metering needles. No way will the system work without it.
