Hello,

Recently I tore out my air condition unit out of my 81 320i that was under my dash. I took it out because it was taking up space and the air cond unit hasen't been working in car for about 5+ years....

Well my prob/question is this......

All images will be called as "Figure #1,2,3, or 4" located at:"http://the-outpost.virtualave.net/elec/elecprob.gif

In the process of tearing out the air cond unit I had to "cut" a few that were going directly into the air cond unit! so I thought "Hey, I wont need them again so i'll just cut, and leave some lengh on the wire just in case i'll install a new air cond unit some time" Well after that day I did not have any more Heater Blower! I must have acidently cut the wires from the "Heater blower switch"
(Figure #3) to he heater motor itself! So when I turn on the "Heater Blower switch" it does not turn on the heater blower!

I'm thinking that the wires that go from the "Heater Blower
Switch"(Figure #3) to the air cond unit, went through the air cond unit and then went on it own path, but when cuting the air cond wires I cut a wire that was used for the heater blower switch...??

I have torn apart the interior of my car and this is what I found...

Talking about the back of "Heater Blower Switch" Figure #3:

In Figure #1 - This is a set of wires that is attached to the back of the Figure #3, the wires that are attached to this is "brown, blue, black and yellow" Figure #2, is also a "set" of wires that is attached to the back of Figure #3. The wires are, grey w/ red strip, black, and yellow w/ red strip. These two sections are attached to
the switch on the back side and they provide power, and other stuff that I don't know.

Wire that are "Free" not connected, that are cut do to the un-install of the air cond unit, are, Green wire w/ brown strip (this one has a female connector), and a, Aqua green wire w/ black strip.

Wires that are from the Air Cond Unit are:
Grey w/ red strip (Figure # 4) This wire has a "male" connector in the middle of the wire used to connect to another wire that goes off in own path.
A Plain Black wire,
A Yellow w/ red strip wire,
and a Brown wire used for the ground.

My questions....

What wires do I need to have conected to have the "Heater Blower Switch" work? Basically make my heater Blow Hot air!! I have already tested the Heater Motor and it is like
brand new! It works very well!! I just need to know what wires I need to have conneced to make the Heater/blower and all the heating stuff work! I really need this because it is getting REALLY cold here in Oregon and I have to drive places and it is all steamed up inside car and I have to wait forever to get all the windowsunfogged!! Please
helpo me!! thanx!! If you have ANY question or Help Suggestion Please feel free to comment!

I can be reached by email @ bartman_66@h... or ICQ: 24721190, or AIM handle "BimmerLovR"... Thanx for helping me and your time!!

*I'm outside right now trying to figure it out!
