I'm going to look at this car tomorrow:
83 320i, 1 owner (non-smoker), outstanding condition, Lapis Blue, 5sp, AC, SR, newer paint and upholstry, 157k miles $3500/obo
High book on the car is $2365. I spoke with the owner and he seems like a stand up guy that has kept the car well maintained. I'm sure that there aren't too many one-owner cars of 83 vintage, but I'm don't know if it worth paying a premium of over $1100 for. I would gladly pay high book for a specimen of this quality, but what constitutes a premium over retail? New paint and upholstry is worth something, but how do I apply a dollar figure to them?
Let me know your thoughts...
