The haynes manual (I shouldn't really qoute this thing but its the only reference I've got) says:

Rear hub nut (series 1) 400Nm 295lbf ft
Rear hub nut (series 2) 450Nm 332lbf ft
Front hub nut (series 2) 280Nm 207lbf ft

Its just this glaring omission of the series 1 front hub nut. I just guessed at 240Nm using the 'pick a number out of the air' method.

What would be considered reasonable for a front stub axle?
