To the best of my knowledge, all 320is came with a standard issue Getrag 245. The CR boxes have all got the dogleg first gear, down below reverse. VERY rare, and VERY $$$. Anybody else???

Does anyone know what the deal with close ratio transmisions in 320is cars is. I was under the impression that my 81 320is had a clsoe ratio.
