We use the same gear oils in the gearboxes of motorcycles, and the redline would come out with little bits of metal in it all the time, and didn't shift all that well.

Silkolene gear oil was excellent, no flakes in the oil, and shifting was much better. I've got Mobil1 synthetic in the 320 right now, but will switch over to the Silkolene when I change it next.

I think Redline is like Nike - their products are OK, but they're mostly a marketing company...
