CIS works on the relationship between airflow and the metered amount of fuel. If you put "bigger" injectors in all the motor will do is run rich. One way to get it running better is to get more air in, that is, see if you can source a bigger throttle body etc that will flow more air through the airbox and therefore lift the plate more, therefore lettign more fuel in. At least you will then retain the correct mixture.


I am currently in the process of rebuilding my 82 323i, and am looking for new injectors. Bosch part number, 0437502 006. I am looking to get a little more out of the engine as well, and wondering if a higher flow fuel injector is available, and if it will help, or will just richening the mixture provide higher fuel flow. If you can help me locate these injectors drop a line. If you have expereince with the rebuild of this model, and can enlighten me on some hot spots let me know.
