FOR SALE: 83 320i in Chicago, great condition! (archive)

Hey folks, I've decided to reduce the asking price on my 320i. Check it out! Here's some info on the car. There are lots of pics at the web site. please email me if you are interested at all.

Description: The car is SapphireBlue-Metallic with a blue cloth interior. The body is in EXCELLENT shape, with NO
rust. The engine compartment is very clean and tidy, and all the mechanicals are great. At a compression test 2 years ago, it
tested very well. It starts well and runs well. I have put about $2500 into it in the past 2 years. The car is currently in
Evanston, Illinois. I would be willing to drive the car up to a day (500-700 miles) for delivery as long as i am compensated.
The car will need to be registered and insured before it can be driven away. Please get in touch with me via email, or you

History of car: I bought the car two years ago in Oregon. We don't salt the streets out in Portland, Oregon, so the car
really has no rust, and since the sun rarely shines out here, the paint looks great. I drove the car for a year, and then left it in
my parents' garage in Chicago, Illinois. In the past year, I bought a BMW 635csi, so I decided I need to get rid of the 320i.
Soooo, I'd like to sell the car ASAP. I'll be in Evanston December 16, 2000, for about a month, and then back again near
the end of May 2001 for maybe a month. If you'd like to come see the car during those times, please let me know. If you'd
like to go see it while I'm not there, that's ok too, but my dad won't be able to answer many questions about the car.
However, if you really want to car, you could probably buy it while I'm not there.
What this car has:
-1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine
-5-speed manual transmission
-Heater (no a/c, it really doesn't need a/c, it has great 3-level ventilation)
-radio/tape player
-sunroof
-small alarm system
Work performed on car since I've had it (2 years):
-$1,200 Spent on getting the car to pass the Oregon DEQ environmental inspection. This included a new catalytic convertor,
valve guides, valve adjustment, O2 sensor.
-$700 Spent on fixing front end components like control arm, etc.
-Gold alloy basketweave wheels, plus nice tires
-Alignment
-I've changed the oil and filter and air filter regularly
-New fuel pump check valve and fuel filter
-New exhaust hangers
-I have replaced the majority of the vacuum lines and rubber parts of the air intake
-I have replaced the alternator bushings
