someone once said that anything will fit given the proper dead-blow mallet hit...well, *I* said that. chances are the console will fit, but not exactly. If memory serves me, the console in the E30 is tilted toward the driver, no? That's a nice feature, and I believe the stereo wasn't mounted at a 70 degree angle in the E30 either. You'll have to compensate for this angulation somehow, though it can be done. You might have to fabricate some mounts to get it to not rattle around, but it can be done. They're basically the same size car, and the differences aren't so extreme that I would completely rule the conversion out. After all, I've seen 320i dashes and consoles in a 2002...kinda blasphemous, but strangely cool. I know this probably won't help, but it's fun to digress sometimes.
