I have an ansa rear muffler unit on my 2002. It's pretty damn loud. The muffler body itself is quite a bit smaller than the orignial. This may not be the case if your 320 has a cat. converter, these tend to quiet exhaust noise, so it might not be as rip-roary as the 02's is. Also, with the ansa, it's important that you drive mainly distances of 5 mi's or more when you do drive, because if you're taking many short trips, condesnation can rust the muffler from the inside out. Now, IMHO, the ansa probably does very little in the performance dept. The best thing you can do is to run 2.5 inch pipe back from the converter to an low-restriction muffler of some sort..(it would seem many would fit under there, there's quite a bit of room to work. The exhaust flow isn't just getting blocked up at your muffler, it's also that tiny stock pipe and the resonator. Also, next time your cat. goes out you might want to consider a high-flow one, they're supposed to work well. Top-end performance uses a muffler called the Walker Pro, or something like that, and they may have a bolt-on kit...address posted below. Hope this helps!
