It was because I was very low on fuel...I was going over a bridge, and I guess the pickup lost contact with the fuel. Anyhow, I got the thing running again with more gas, but it was rough, presumably because I had crap in my lines and injectors. I used Berryman's fuel injection system cleaner and that seemed to help, along with running a couple tanks of chevron supreme. Moral of the story- never trust your gas gauge! Mine read a quarter of a tank and I was out.
