While I am no expert, I can tell you that a 5-speed tranny from an E21 320i (M10 4-cyl engine) will not bolt up to an M20 small six engine such as in the 325i. The bell housing bolt patterns are different. You have to use the tranny from the 325i or from a 528e or E21 323i.
