In this system a lot unused fuel pressure is returned to tank. Sort of a circular loop, the
system ( injection ) takes as much pressure as it needs, based on the vacuum of the engine. The
rest is returned to tank.
In the fuel distributor head there is a pressure
relief valve that governs the amount of fuel pressure supplied to the engine + a control pressure.
If this pressure relief valve is broken then it
is possible all the fuel pumped here is returning
to the tank. ?? ( no fuel at injectors )
I would check the system return line for pressure
first and if you have no pressure back to tank you
do indeed have a blockage. If you do have return
pressure then I would check the relief valve.
I replaced my fuel pump yesterday, and there is no flow of fuel to the injectors at all. Apparently there is some sort of clog in the fuel line. It's the only thing i can think of. Someone had told me earlier that there were two fuel filters on the 320i i know the one next to the differential is new. where could this clog most likely be? Thanks
