New to the board, little long (archive)

Just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Southern California. I have a 1983 320i, which I've had since new. 170,000 miles and still running strong. Although lately I've been having some idle problems which I will get to this weekend. Just recently put some brand new E30 rims on it, 14x6.5 (BBS basketweave)a friend took them off his car 2 weeks after he bought it, they've been sitting in his garage the last 11 years. I've got a few mods planned over the next year.

Seems to be a lot of good info here. Hope I can be of some help. I've always done my own mechanoc work.
