To my knowledge, an E-21 5 speed is a direct bolt-in replacement for the 4-speed.

i just bought this car and the EGR system is completely disabled and the car has headers installed... will this car pass IL emmissions? Does anybody have the same

First time post too

Also is it a large task to switch out a 4-speed for a 5-speed transmission? ive taken out both of them but never switched. My 4-speed has bad bearings... just looking at some options.. i am guessing the 4-speed is a shorter transmission therefor requires a new driveshaft if i upgrade to 5-speed.
