I have an 81 320i 270K. Love the car but she is getting expensive to run. Leaking fuel at the bottom between the two tanks??? Somewhere in that area. I had this problem about a month ago, took it to a local dealer who charged me $CA 70 to replace some rusted out fuel lines.

My question is: Where would this leak now be coming from?
I read an earlier posting about fuel leaks in an 83 323.
Would it be a similar problem scenario? Do these cars have two tanks? Is there a connecting pipe between these tanks subject to wear
