3 options....donate to a good home, rebuild current engine (may need new head as well), get a new engine
car is INKA orange (Phoenix for e21)
~160k
body is good, some rust in driver's side floorboard (leaky windshield problem), sunroof
rear shock towers were replaced ~8yrs ago and are strong
stahl headers
new drivetrain (82 5spd w/3.91 diff) new sachs clutch, always redline gear/trans lubes
any candidates for donor engine would be great, to include 6 cyl conversions
any advice on complexity of rebuild task would be great, new pistons?, just rings?, rebuild bottom end?
any offers on a good home will be listened to
Car is in Rockville MD at Dave Toy's shop (Autoy and Autowerkes), Dave is reluctant to repair ~$2k for a car w/o much value (this should incite a riot w/this group!)
Need to decide fate this week
cheers!

I'm in Baltimore, have a '73 2002, and wouldn't mind taking your car for parts if you decide to let it go to the boneyard. I dunno how much you'd want for it, but I'd at LEAST like to get the tranny out of it, maybe even the diff, for my 2002. How is the tranny as it is now? Let me know, either be posting or by email. THANKS A BUNCH!!!
