I've got 2 both lowered.
The 323i is down 50-60mm and has run stock 13/5.5 , E-30 chassis 14x6 with 15mm spacers, and 15/6 + 15/7 bbs.
None of them hit bosy work.
It seems that this is somewhat car specific, but you shouldn't be having serios problems like you describe.
Sounds like your wheel offset is wrong, but if its correct removing the specers will cause the wheel to hit the steering arm.
Here's a photo before it spent the last year and a half at the body shop.
I've just spent a frustrating sunday afternoon trying to fit a set of lowered and stiffened springs (along with new dampers and rubber bits) to my '79 320. Thought the springs looked a bit short out of the box - despite being advertised as 40mm lowered, I measured at least 50mm lower from normal. This meant that the tyres fouled the wheelarch completely and I had to take them off again. I have later 14"x6 rims on (and 10mm spacers), but with lower profile rubber the diameter is only up 4mm on standard.Has anyone successfully lowered an E21, and if it's not possible, how can I make it roll less round corners? Can I move the front wheels back a little bit in the arches to make the springs fit? I've checked the archives for help on this, but a definative answer would be nice.
Thanks all
