I'm planning on adjusting my vales in the next few days and also replacing the timing belt. Can anyone give me info on how exactly to do this? Does the motor need to be cold in order to adjust the valves? If so, what are the clearance specs? anything to look out for? Also, is replacing the timing belt hard? what will I have to remove in order to do this? The Haynes manual give accurate info, on this subject, I too have had funky Haynes manuals. When you does this proceedure engine should be cool enough to touch use a 10mm wrench for the nut and use either a coat hanger or 2-4mm allen wrench to adjust the rocker arm adjusting cam. I have used a coat hanger in the past and it fits a little loose in the hole thats why I suggest to use a small allen wrench to make a better fit.
Thanks, Jared
