There is no need to replace the sensor unless the car is running poorly. That indicator comes on after a certain number of miles. Replacing the sensor will not make this light go off. If you follow the speedo cable from where it comes out of the firewall and goes down under the car, you will come to a black box. On the underside of this black box there is a pushbutton switch (covered with rubber to protect it from the elements). You can feel it click and voila the problem is gone. A bad sensor usually causes the idle to surge up and down so if you are not having that problem don't change it.
