I think You would be very surprised at what it would bring since used ones in good shape go for 900-1000.
Cutting it up for an o2 would be akin to someone taking a real 02 turbo apart for the motor. All you are really going to be able to use is the manifold and turbo right? You could probably buy both new for what you could get out of the kit and save the BAE kit for one of the 320i guys. Problem is that if you ues the manifold and turbo from it, its not likely that someone can find the proper turbo and exhaust maifold to mate with the plumbing. whereas if you have to fabricate plubing any way might as well do it for more commonly available parts.
Just my .o2
Complete, NIB, for pre 81 320i.
I am most likely going to install it on a 2002 and NOT use the bits that are specific to the 320i. (Which doesn't seem to be much at all) The turbo itself is a rayjay. Exhaust manifold etc is all present.
What is it worth to the 320i crowd? This isnt a "its not for sale, but..." troll. I am simply wondering how much this box full of stuff is worth, and if I am contemplating some sort of horrible crime by talking about bastardizing it onto a 2002.
