WTB '81 320i (archive)

hey there all. There's a salvage yard near me with an '81 320i ofr sale....it runs and drives....its problems appear to be cosmetic...asside from a dent in the roof.....rockers look sound and all visible metal is good...has turbine alloys. Upolstry is trashed w/ ok console...fair pain, little surface rust...guy wants $350 for it. What are some trouble spots I sould look for in this car....I have lots of experience with 2002's and would probably use this as a winter beater. Sound like a good deal? Oh, the automatic shift selector moves into the different selections without depressing the button.....is this a big deal/fix? Thanks for any info.
