Run down carls list, thats the easy/common stuff.

Do you get a fuel pump run at all.

Can you eloborate on where you are geting the blue spark? I'm not clear on where you checked it. I would use an extra plug and grond it to check for spark at the plug wires.

Not to be insulting or anything, but since the hill seems to have something to do with it, are you sure it has enough fuel? Did it run low lately? Could have sucked up some trash in the tank or have water on the bottom of the tank.

I need help. Here's my story. The car has been running great. I am in my neighborhood, going down the last hill to my house, going slowly over the last speedbump and it chugs ever so softly twice. Luckily I got it in my driveway. It dies quietly.

Thinking this was a fluke, I had to go to the store twenty minutes later. I start the car, fires right up, and off I go. I go up that hill, turn the corner, and it chugs ever so softly twice and quietly dies. Needless to say it won't start now.

The battery is fine, I am getting fuel, and the engine is fine. What does this sound like to you? It is my ownly means of transportation and I need it to work by Tuesday. It looks like it is not connecting under the distributor cap. I still get a blue/purple flame, if that makes sense. My dad once owned a '79 320i and he says it may be that the points need to be changed. I thought that it was the points before he mentioned it. I work on airplanes not cars.

Please tell me what you think ASAP! It is not fun walking in below zero wind chill.

Thanks!
Christie
