A BMW at 100,000mi is just broke in. Have a 1983 320is that does run autocross, my wife has it right now on vacation from NC to the Keys of FL 271,000 original miles on the engine.

To All -

I'm pondering the purchase of a 93 318i. It has 111,000 miles on it; the dealer is asking $7,000. I'm curious if anyone knows of idiosyncracies specific to that model year and car that would make me think twice about purchasing it. Also, do BMWs perform well after 100K miles? My Lincoln Town Car barely ran after 100K, but I've heard that Mercedes and BMWs deal with age well. I would sincerely appreciate any advice someone can offer. If at all possible, respond to my email address (JBDuncan69@aol.com) or on AOLIM (screenname = JBDuncan69) because I'll probably forget the address of this site by tomorrow... :)

Thanks,

Jeff Duncan
