1982 318i - dash light? (archive)

My dash light has just recently stopped working. To try and either fix the connection or replace the bulb, I tried to take the dash apart to be able to get inside. I couldn't find any screws, but started pulling out the dash display, without much luck. Any suggestions to how I can get to the globe? I'd welcome any help you could offer.
