I couldn't pass up on the quaife deal either and I am planning on installing one of them in my own 323i. I have a spare 3.90 open diff and I will get a chance to test it in late February at our first autocross. It should be very interesting to see how the inside tire either "hooks up" or blazes away in tire smoke. I am really hoping this is the answer to better traction because our hillclimb car has a lot of wheelspin in tight off camber corners and I know it is causing me to lose valuable time.I will take notes and pics at the scene and post my results. If it works great, you will regret not jumping in on one of the best deals in a long while. 5 quaife units sold in a couple hours and I believe they are all spoken for now. O==00==O

Anybody ever run one of these in an E21? Although I can't really afford it, the price on the post below is too tempting. Plus I have to tear into my LSD anyway....got a real bad leak that needs fixing.

I know the E21 (is prone to) lifts it's inside rear wheel on hard cornering. I've heard the Quaifes are great, but will spin a wheel when lifted.....they supposedly need a limited amount of differential torque to work properly. Am I better off just rebuilding my LSD with possibly more lock up (say 40%), or should I risk a serious financial wife thrashing and buy one of these cheap Quaifes? By the way, I checked, they are brand new (not used or rebuilt).
