making a 1992 325 look like a 96 (archive)

I have a 1992 black 325I with only 60,000 miles on it that runs like a charm. Instead of buying a new one, I was wondering if I could paint my front and rear spoilers as well as my side skirts to make it look like the way the 1996 does. Will it come out good or do I have to buy seperate spoilers and side skirt and attach them.
