Thanks for advice last week on the 320is w/Callaway turbo. I drove it. It's not for me; needs more work than I can give it now. But if it's still for sale, it would be a great deal for someone on this board who has some time and a decent garage. Could be parted for pofit, but if it is really a factory job that would be a shame, and it's eminently saveable. Thumbnail: Callaway turbo unit, supposedly installed at Callaway when new, not now working. Needs Garret catridge. Full custom Borla exhaust. Very strong factory remanufactured engine with 60 K miles; car has 168K overall. Bilsteins and Alpina suspension and sway/stress bars. Body looks good, seemingly original black paint but I believe rear towers have been patched. No active rust I could find. The car rides well now but seems too low. Much dried mud in the trunk made me wonder whether back end went for a swim. Some water under carpet now -- suspect windshield leaks. Cloth interior is average, dash and console are rough. Rough 13" BBS/Yokos, extra Blizzaks unmounted. Car is in North Jersey, owned by a guy named Lee, phone # 908-561-4725 or 753-9054. He wants about $ 2K and is "motivated seller". Not currently titled; he has (clean) old title with VIN WBAAG3309D9004690. Hope someone here can get into it.
