H&B was Hardy and Beck who was also known as Alpina West until mr boverschein (sp?) discovered that they seemed to be marketing very similar things to Alpina for a bit less $ under their name and ended the "relationship". (so the story goes) I belive they are long since defunct (as is M&N/Miller and Norburn/Alpina East)

The turbo was probably made by Callaway or BAE/Century and marketed by H&B but thats a guess.

I'm not an expert but i've seen several BAE and several Callaway, so if you shoot me an E-mail with more information (pics)I might be able to help.

Some details that would help.

Is the turbo mounted above the exhaust manifold toward the front of the engine, or under it to the rear.

Has the intake been modified to mount the throttle body on the valve cover side? Or is it a completely custom affair?

Can you tell the turbo type/make? Internal or external waste gate?

Is it intercooled?

Water injected?

A 323i?

Go to my 323i site and hit e-21 turbos if you have not already, if you get it send me info to post.

Oh by the way, buy it you will love it no matter what kind of turbo it is.

I just looked at a H&B turbo 320i this evening. The car appears to be a complete package: gauges, spoiler, seats, and possibly suspension. After searching the Web for 2 hours, I have given up. Does anyone have any information on this car?
Dave
