As DHoang pointed out, because of the way the slave cylinder is pointed down, bleeding like you're used to on brake cylinders is not very satisfactory. You'll get some of the air out, but not all. Then just pump the clutch--and the bubbles will eventually work their way up hill thru the master cylinder into the reservoir (semi-self bleeding is the way one helpful friend put it)

It worked for me...
